One step a beat
Every star walks one square forward on every beat. A run lasts 16 beats at 100 BPM, so each plan plays out in under ten seconds.
How to play
You never move a creature. You read where each star is headed, drop pieces onto its path, tap Boot and let sixteen beats prove your plan.
The idea in two boards
Left alone, this pink star walks right past the black hole of its colour. One arrow on its path, turned to point down, drops it straight in. Reading the dotted line and fixing it with the fewest pieces is the whole game.

The rules
Every star walks one square forward on every beat. A run lasts 16 beats at 100 BPM, so each plan plays out in under ten seconds.
When the next square is the edge of the board or a wall (a chimney, a dead satellite, a sleeping moon), the star turns clockwise instead of moving. A turn uses up that beat.
A black hole swallows one single star of its own colour. Fill every hole by the end of beat 16 and the sky is clean.
Stars that land on the same square on the same beat fuse into one blob. A blob can never fill a hole, and it wrecks every hole it walks over.
A smoosh that happens on beat 4, 8, 12 or 16 comes out cursed: inverted colours and a name ending in SKRAA. The Book keeps those separately.
If any hole is still open or wrecked when the beats run out, the run fails and Big Yolk wakes up. Rewind keeps your pieces, so you only fix what went wrong.
Your pieces
Every level gives you exactly the kinds of piece it needs and not one piece more. Pick a piece in the tray, then tap a square.
The arrow
Sets the direction of any star that steps onto it. It lands pointing right; tap it to turn it a quarter turn clockwise, and hold it to lift it off the board.
The pause
Holds a star still for exactly one beat, then lets it carry on. Perfect for letting another star pass before a crash.
The repaint
Recolours a star as it steps in, so it fits a black hole of a different colour.
The smoosh
Walk two stars into the same square and the world freezes for a moment while they fuse into a brand-new creature with a brand-new name. It will cost you the level, but it fills a page of your Smoosh Book, and the Book has 78 pairs to find.

Tools on every board
Drag along it before you Boot to see where every star stands on each beat. Squares where two stars will meet glow, so a crash never surprises you.
After a run, Rewind puts you back in setup with every piece still where you left it.
Lifts every piece off the board in one tap when you want to start the level fresh.
Copy the code from any result and paste it in Settings to load that exact board again, on your phone or a friend's.
