How smooshes get their names
Front half, back half
A smoosh takes the front of the first creature's name and the back of the second's. Grumboshka into Plortiplort makes GRUMBOPLORT; Grumboshka into Yolkolino makes GRUMBOLINO. Twelve creatures give 78 pairs, and walking a blob into a third star starts a chimera.
